Who We Are

Our building is 30,000 square feet with 20,000 square feet of manufacturing floor space. We are located in Mequon, Wisconsin just 15 minutes north of Milwaukee. Hours of operation: 24 hours/5 days.

How It All Started

Ci-Dell Plastics is a custom mold shop that was founded in 1986 by Ken Cihlar and Dan Trudell. Ken's engineering degree combined with Dan's years of experience in the plastics industry provided an excellent opportunity for them to begin their own business venture.

The first shop was located in Menomonee Falls molding carbon graphite parts for pumps. Hard work and dedication lead to prosperity and continued growth. In 1999 they built a new shop in the Mequon business park where they now own and operate over 20 compression and injection presses. Because of continued growth and customer demand, this facility now operates 24 hours a day, five days a week.

Incoming Inspection

Ci-Dell Plastics inspects, measures and documents all incoming materials prior to molding them in production. This procedure ensures only quality materials are used to mold your parts.

Part Qualification

First piece measurement and documentation is critical to our success. Part qualification begins with a layout of an acceptable sample from each cavity. We use our Hexagon CMM with touch probe to conduct full layouts to ensure your parts meet the required dimensions. Samples are sent for customer review and approval prior to starting production on the mold. This procedure also applies to mold modifications and refurbishment of existing tooling.

Quality in Production

Once parts are approved and production begins, critical dimensions are measured and documented throughout the production process to ensure parts are molded to specification.

Traceability

We can maintain traceability for every lot of raw material, inserts and other sub-components throughout the production run. This added procedure allows us to sort and separate product if there is any question regarding quality.

To ensure your parts will be perfect, we run all tooling through our rigorous 9-point tool evaluation checklist and provide you with the results before we start making your parts. See our 9-Point Tool Evaluation Checklist here.
